We think that the wait has
been worthwhile. It is complex with a Christmas pudding

Shipwreck Single
Cask Ten Year Old Cider Brandy
50cl (42%) - £28.00
Many will
recall seeing barrels floating ashore at Branscombe on
their televisions. We obtained, with permission of the
Reciever of Wrecks, some superb barrels which were on
their way to South Africa for filling with their best
wines. They arrived on the beach in containers protected
from seawater by bibles in Zulu and they have added a
sophisticated oak finish. Allier oak is subtle and we are
very pleased with the effect. |

75cl Kingston Black
A dry, complex cider with a sharp fruit finish. Good enough
to grace any dinner table (8%) - £7.50
This cider is very dry. Jilly Goolden on BBC Food &
Drink described the Kingston Black as one of the, if not the
best, English Cider. "This has got muscles, this has got
brawn, this has got a hairy chest. I think it's gorgeous,"
she said. |

Cider Vinegar
full bodied unpasteurised cider vinegar ideal for cooking
and salad dressing- £2.50
In the past many health claims were made for cider vinegar.
A spoonful of honey and a shot of vinegar with a bit of warm
water makes a healthy nightcap.
In time the vinegar might drop a deposit. This shows that it
is unpasteurised and is considered a good thing. |
